Hurricane screens are the perfect solution for protecting windows too. Unlike metal shutters, screens are lightweight and can be installed and deployed in minutes and require no maintenance. Even better, as with the patio screens, by adding optional UV covers, they can be stored in place.
StormWatch window screens are available in the same colors and have the same advantages as the patio screens. “I picked StormWatch shutters with UV covers so I would only have to put the shutters up once each hurricane season. If a hurricane comes I drop the shutters and put in the bottom fasteners. After the storm, I roll them up until I need them again." D. Miller, Grand Cayman |

Don’t confuse translucent with transparent. While it’s clever marketing to say a translucent screen lets light in, it really means you can’t see out. StormWatch hurricane screens, whether mesh or clear are transparent, that means you can see out. StormWatch brings an end to the claustrophobic feelings typical with other hurricane shutters. “The fact that I can see out and be prepared for a storm makes all the difference. There is absolutely nothing worse than being trapped in a dark house waiting for a hurricane.” D. Marsh, Galveston, TX |
StormWatch Clear Shutters are the only fabric type hurricane screen that can be left deployed for long periods of time. The panels are made from marine grade vinyl (PVC) which is different from nylon and polypropylene fabrics. PVC is actually used as a coating for other fabrics to make them UV resistant but StormWatch’s clear screen is all PVC and more UV durable than anything else. This is the right product to use when you will leave the screens deployed for the hurricane season. “If we want to use the house for a weekend during the summer we can without having to find someone to remove the shutters. When you are inside you really can’t tell that they are there.” B. Turnberry, Palm Beach, FL |
